The Ordem dos Fisioterapeutas is currently governed by the Comissão Instaladora appointed on the 17th of November, and constituted by:
Isabel de Souza Guerra (president) - Physiotherapist, Master in Health Services Management, Professor and coordinator of the Women's Health Branch of the master's degree in physiotherapy at Escola Superior de Saúde do Alcoitão.
She was president of the Portuguese Association of Physiotherapists (APFisio – Associação Portuguesa de Fisioterapeutas) from 1996 to 2016, and President of the Pro-Order Committee of APFisio from 2016 until Order of Physiotherapists (2019) was legally recognized. She has been director of physiotherapy department at Egas Moniz Hospital.
António Manuel Fernandes Lopes – Physiotherapist, certified Specialist in Physiotherapy by the Polytechnic Institutes of Lisbon, Porto and Coimbra.
Psychologist, Master in Educational Sciences. Coordinating Professor, at Escola Superior de Saúde do Alcoitão, of which he was Deputy Director, President of the Pedagogical Council and Coordinator of the Department of Physiotherapy, and undergraduate and master's courses.
He was one of the founding members of the Reformulating Committee of the Portuguese Association of Physiotherapists (APFisio), in 1974, having held various positions, and closely following the development of the association.
He was Vice-President of the APFisio National Directive Council from 1996 to 2016, and Vice-President of the Pro-Order Committee. He has represented APFisio in multiple international meetings since 1977, was Vice-President of the EEC Liaison Committee for Physiotherapists (SLCP) between 1991 and 1998, and was President of the European Region of the World Physiotherapy Confederation (ER-WCPT) between 1998 and 2010.
He was awarded the WCPT International Service Award in 2011.
Pedro Jorge Lapa Rebelo - Physiotherapist, certified Specialist in Physiotherapy by the Polytechnic Institutes of Lisbon, Porto and Coimbra.
Master in Health Communication, PhD student in Physiotherapy.
Director of the Physiotherapy Course at Escola Superior de Tecnologia de Lisboa (2010-2020).
Member of the board of the Portuguese Association of Physiotherapists from 2004 to 2016; vice-president of the Portuguese Association of Physiotherapists (APFISIO) from 2016 to 2019 and President of APFISIO from 2019 to January 2020.
Olímpio Pereira - Physiotherapist - managing partner of the “Fisio-Roma” Physiotherapy Clinic.
Consultant in the field of physiotherapy at the insurance company Allianz. SPAT member.
Maria da Conceição Bettencourt - Physiotherapist, Postgraduate in Health Services Management. She is the coordinator of the Quality Program Management Office at the Centro Hospitalar Universitário de Lisboa Central, E.P.E. She was a member of the APF board from 1996 to 2013.
