{"id":16457,"date":"2026-10-13T17:23:53","date_gmt":"2026-10-13T16:23:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ordemdosfisioterapeutas.pt\/?p=16457"},"modified":"2026-10-13T17:23:55","modified_gmt":"2026-10-13T16:23:55","slug":"ordem-dos-fisioterapeutas-integra-compromisso-conjunto-para-a-declaracao-de-coimbra","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ordemdosfisioterapeutas.pt\/en\/noticias\/ordem-dos-fisioterapeutas-integra-compromisso-conjunto-para-a-declaracao-de-coimbra\/","title":{"rendered":"The Portuguese Physiotherapists\u2019 Association has signed up to the joint commitment for the Coimbra Declaration"},"content":{"rendered":"<div data-elementor-type=\"wp-post\" data-elementor-id=\"16457\" class=\"elementor elementor-16457\" data-elementor-post-type=\"post\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-edfaef9 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"edfaef9\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a5b6272 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"a5b6272\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The Portuguese Physiotherapists\u2019 Association, represented by its President, Ant\u00f3nio Lopes, took part on 9 October in Coimbra in a meeting at which the professional health associations made a joint commitment to <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">The Coimbra 2026 Declaration \u2014 The Wellbeing of Health Professionals in the Governance of Health Systems.<\/span><\/p><p>This commitment, which will be formalised upon the signing of the Declaration, aims to place the health and wellbeing of healthcare professionals amongst the priorities for governance, quality and sustainability within healthcare organisations and systems.<\/p><p>Organised by the Portuguese Psychologists\u00ab Association, with the support of the Coimbra Local Health Unit, the initiative took place as part of the Strategic Forum \u00bbWork and Professionals in the Health Sector | Governance, Well-being and Sustainability\u2019, which formed part of the 7th National Congress of the Portuguese Psychologists\u2019 Association.<\/p><p>Held on the eve of World Mental Health Day, which falls on 10 October, the meeting emphasised the importance of creating working conditions that protect the health and wellbeing of professionals, recognising that this responsibility cannot depend solely on each person\u2019s individual ability to cope with the demands of their job.<\/p><p>The Declaration recognises that safeguarding the health and wellbeing of professionals requires a shared responsibility and action to improve their working conditions.
