Today, 7 April, is World Health Day. In 2026, the World Health Organisation (WHO) will mark this date with the motto\u00a0\"<\/strong>Together for health. On the side of science.<\/a><\/strong>\"<\/strong>, The campaign's key messages emphasise the importance of evidence-based health decisions, trust in credible sources and collaboration as the basis for more effective public health responses. The campaign's key messages reinforce, in particular, that health decisions must be guided by evidence, that science produces results when we work together and that public health protects lives every day.<\/p>

In this context, the Order of Physiotherapists joins World Health Day and the joint message of the Professional Bodies working in the health context, reaffirming its willingness to collaborate in the construction of stable and integrated policies.<\/p>

One Health<\/strong>\u00a0is the motto of this joint message. The document\u00a0Orders and \u201cOne Health<\/a><\/em>\"<\/em>\u00a0presents this approach as an integrated and unifying vision of health, which recognises the interdependence between human, animal and environmental health and the need for collaborative, multi-sectoral and sustainable responses. The same document emphasises that prevention, health literacy, coordination between sectors and cooperation between professions are essential conditions for responding to current health challenges.<\/p>

In this context, the Order of Physiotherapists reaffirms its commitment to public health based on prevention, health literacy, equitable access to care and responses supported by the best available evidence. At a time when health systems are facing increasingly complex challenges, marking World Health Day is also a reminder that protecting people's health requires knowledge, co-operation and trust in evidence.
